The Farm

Our farm is located in the coastal plains of eastern North Carolina. Nostalgia runs deep for us in these acres. Katie’s great grandfather originally bought this farm about sixty years ago. He loved the farm, which at the time produced mainly tobacco. “Pop” was a keeper of honeybees, a farmer of tobacco, row crops and Angus cattle, an excellent checkers opponent and a most beloved great grandpa.

He called our farm “The Three J’s,” after the family from whom he purchased the land, whose surname was Jackson. It was a favorite place of his, and we can’t help but think of him as we keep our own bees, grow our own crops and raise our own livestock here.

In addition to our seasonal offerings, we stock a variety of handmade goods and wearables year-round in our Farm Shop. Thank you for visiting – we hope you’ll stay a while!

“I see that the life of this place is always emerging beyond expectation or prediction or typicality, that it is unique, given to the world minute by minute, only once, never to be repeated.”

Wendell Berry
